Raising funds for the Konevetsky Russian Orthodox Monastery situated on one of the island Konevets on the Ladojskoe Lake (about 100 kilometers from the Saint Petersburg), quartet Konevets travels all over the world. During the Soviet times, the Monastery was used as a military base, and had a chance to serve once again its original purpose in the late 90th.

As it has been known, there are no musical instruments but voices in Russian Orthodox churches. Four men were invited to restore the sacred tradition of the Monastery choir singing. After two years of teaching monks, the quartet now helps to collect funds for the ongoing Monastery restoration.

All members of the quartet posses Master degree and PhD in music; their program consists of over a hundred of musical pieces: from sacred Christian Orthodox music performed in Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian and Greek languages, to classical and folk melodies such as Evening Bells, Moscow Nights, Schedryk (Carol of The Bells), Kalinka, Na Sopkax Manchjurii, and many others.

Concert in Charlotte was held in the private residence (Irina Kornilova) under patronage of the Russian Orthodox church (Father Alexander), and with great help of Lidia Mischenko, the church activist.
