About the Read Russia Prize
The Read Russia Prize is awarded in New York each May to celebrate the best English translations of Russian literature.
The prize jury features leading authors, translators, scholars,
and teachers worldwide—and in 2014 the invitation-only awards ceremony will be held at Tisch WNET Studios in Lincoln Center.
About “Russia’s Open Book”
“Russia’s Open Book: Writing in the Age of Putin” is a new documentary film about contemporary and classic Russian literature. Hosted by acclaimed actor and author Stephen Fry, narrated by actress Juliet Stevenson, and produced by Intelligent Television, Wilton Films, and Thirteen/WNET, the film profiles Russian writers in modern Russia.
